UPDATE: Man escorted off Hawaiian Airlines Flight

For the second time in three days a Hawaiian Airlines flight bound for the islands was diverted because of a disruptive passenger.

Travelers flying from Las Vegas to Honolulu early this morning arrived at Honolulu International Airport three hours late.

" It was a long day, and it's good to be back," says Art, a passenger aboard Hawaiian Airlines flight #17.

Hawaiian Airlines flight #17 was diverted to Los Angeles after a passenger allegedly harassed a woman on board.

"Pretty much some guy was drunk, he was verbally abusing and sexually assaulting another passenger, touching her," says Annette Andow, another passenger aboard flight #17.

"The lady was kind of having an altercation with the guy and another gentleman that was sitting next to them kinda stood up and he kind of took care of the situation mentioned to the stewardess that he had been getting out of hand," says passenger Brad Lemmon.

According to passengers the suspect was also uncooperative with the flight crew and the plane was redirected to Los Angeles International Airport.

"At first I was like wow is this a terrorist again that's what I had in my mind of course," says passenger Jose Ragiles.

Passengers were later told the plane would be stopping at LAX to remove an unruly passenger.

"Then all the police came on there was a whole bunch of fire trucks and ambulances sitting out there," says Lemmon.

"It was met at the gate by airport police and the individual on the aircraft was removed and interviewed along with a victim," says Sgt. Holcomb, spokesman of Los Angeles world airports police.

According to Sgt. Holcomb the victim declined to press charges, but the suspect was not allowed back on to the plane.

"The dispute was between the suspect and a victim, it didn't involve any type of terrorism or any kind of a threat to the aircraft," says Holcomb.

According to airport police the California prosecuting attorney's office could press charges and federal could be made from TSA.

"They said that it was a federal crime."
